Courtside Scoreboard
The scoreboard that knows the rules. For iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo.
Tap who won the point and Courtside does the rest: whose serve it is, which court to serve from, when to change ends, deuce, golden point, tiebreaks, games and sets.
Questions
Which sports and rules does it score?
Pickleball (side-out scoring with first and second servers, games to 11, 15 or 21), tennis and padel (deuce or golden point, tiebreaks at 6-all, an optional match tiebreak to 10), table tennis (games to 11, two serves each and one each from 10-all), badminton (rally scoring to 21, capped at 30) and squash (point-a-rally to 11).
I tapped the wrong side. How do I fix it?
Tap the undo button (the curved arrow, bottom left). Undo goes back one point at a time, and the serve, the court and the ends all correct themselves. It works after the match has finished too.
How does it work on iPhone Duo?
Half-fold the phone and stand it sideways on the bench. The score stands up on the top half facing the players, and the point buttons lie flat on the bottom half for whoever is keeping score. Opened like a book, each side gets its own half. On other iPhones and iPads it uses the same top-and-bottom layout.
Why did the sides swap on the screen?
The players changed ends. Courtside moves each side across so the screen matches where the players are standing, and shows a Change ends banner when it happens.
What happens if the app closes mid-match?
Nothing is lost. The match is saved on your device after every point and comes back when you open the app again.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account, no sign-in and no internet connection needed. See the privacy policy below.
